Nickey Maxey and his team join BLACKSTREAM | CHRISTIE’S International Real Estate from Sotheby’s International Realty, where they are projected to close over $65 million in sales volume in 2022. In conjunction with the move, the team will head a new office in Bluffton, giving Blackstream a foothold in the South Carolina coastal market.
Like many luxury real estate markets, the South Carolina coastal market is booming. The Nickey Maxey Team has experienced consistent growth in the last three years with combined sales of nearly $165 million.

Maxey’s decision to transfer his team and join BLACKSTREAM | CHRISTIE’S International Real Estate as a Managing Partner was also influenced by Christie’s International Real Estate’s new corporate leadership. Since taking over the luxury network in December 2021, Chicago-based real estate brokerage @properties has brought a new energy to the brand, infusing it with relationship-focused culture, innovation, and agent support that keeps the brokerage on top of the Chicago real estate leaderboard year after year.
