U.S. Congressman William Timmons, who represents South Carolina’s 4th district, used his social media account on September 30, 2025, to criticize Democratic lawmakers regarding government funding and immigration policy.

In a post made at 15:45 UTC, Timmons shared a message with a link, stating: “Democrats’ playbook on government funding: https://t.co/rs5ho8dLus”.

Later the same day, at 17:07 UTC, he posted another message that read: “Smile if you would rather fund illegal immigrants than your own government! https://t.co/j8PTtgzFYf”.

At 18:32 UTC, Timmons elaborated further in a third tweet. He wrote: “. @HouseGOP voted to fund our military, veterans’ healthcare, food assistance programs, and community health centers. Democrats blocked all of this to demand that $1.5 trillion of your hard-earned money goes to: Taxpayer-funded government benefits for illegal aliens.”

William Timmons has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Trey Gowdy. Prior to his time in Congress, he was a member of the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and currently residing there, Timmons holds degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.
