Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina’s 4th district, has recently taken to social media to share his perspectives on various issues. Timmons, who succeeded Trey Gowdy in Congress in 2019 and previously served in the South Carolina Senate, expressed views ranging from economic developments to law enforcement.

On June 3, 2025, Timmons shared what he described as “EGGCELENT NEWS– Egg prices are dropping!” He noted that since President Trump took office, wholesale egg prices have decreased by approximately 61%, falling from $6.49 to $2.52 per dozen according to USDA data. Timmons highlighted that retail prices are also beginning to decrease, which he believes will result in savings for Americans. He extended his gratitude to President Trump and Secretary Rollins for this development.

Later that day, at 16:00 UTC, Timmons tweeted about a recent raid where “authorities also recovered a missing child, cocaine, possible sex trafficking victims, firearms, unknown substances, and large sums of money.” He criticized the Biden administration’s border policies by stating that “South Carolina is still paying the price for Joe Biden’s disastrous open border policies.”

At 16:09 UTC on the same day, Timmons commented on crime reduction efforts through law enforcement measures. He stated that “The Washington Post is still curious why enforcing our laws leads to less crime.” In this context, he thanked ICE for their role in maintaining public safety.

William Timmons was born in Greenville in 1984 and currently resides there. A graduate of George Washington University with a BA and holding a JD from the University of South Carolina, Timmons continues his political career with an emphasis on both local and national issues.
