The following day, May 8, 2025, he expressed support for legislation by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. In his tweet, he remarked “Proud to support @RepMTG’s legislation today to codify President Trump’s executive order: Gulf of America!” indicating his alignment with policies initiated during Trump’s presidency.

Later that same day, Congressman Timmons referenced former President Donald Trump’s influence on national competitiveness. He tweeted “Art Of The Deal — President @realDonaldTrump is making America competitive again.” suggesting this as the beginning of further efforts under Trump’s legacy.

William Timmons has represented South Carolina’s 4th District since succeeding Trey Gowdy in 2019 and previously served in the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and holding degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina, Timmons resides in Greenville at age 38.
