Congressman William Timmons, currently serving South Carolina’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates via social media on initiatives and legislative efforts. Timmons, 38, who was born and currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina, has been in Congress since 2019 following his tenure in the South Carolina Senate.
On April 9, 2025, Timmons noted that “Over 80% of American citizens believe in requiring proof of citizenship before registering to vote.” He highlighted the unanimous vote by the House GOP for the SAVE Act and contrasted it with the 198 House Democrats who he stated “voted to allow illegal aliens to decide American elections.”
Later that day, Timmons expressed appreciation for his appearance on a podcast, tweeting, “Enjoyed being a guest on @RepublicanStudy’s Right to the Point podcast with @RepMikeCollins and @RepRickAllen this morning.” He informed his followers that the podcast would be released the following day at noon Eastern Time.
On April 10, Timmons commented on the passage of H.R. 1526, emphasizing its significance by stating, “In the last 100 years, 67% of ALL injunctions issued against a President were issued against ONE man – President Donald Trump.” He characterized the prevalence of injunctions as sabotage rather than oversight, asserting that the House GOP is committed to protecting the executive branch’s integrity.
