Furman University senior Harris Barth tied for 14th place in the final round of the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional, according to a May 20 announcement. The tournament took place at Bermuda Run Country Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Barth, who is a three-time All-Southern Conference honoree from Atlanta, Georgia, finished his last round as a Paladin with a score of four-under par after carding a season-best round of 67. He began by parring his first hole and then birdied five out of his next six holes to make the turn at five-under. Barth added consecutive birdies on holes ten and eleven to reach seven-under before finishing at four-under for the day.

Virginia’s Ben James won the individual title with a score of thirteen under par. Jacob Lang from Kentucky was recognized as the low individual not on an advancing team.

The regional championship ended in a tie between third-ranked Virginia and fifteenth-ranked Pepperdine, both finishing thirty-six under par. Other teams advancing to the NCAA Championships include tenth-ranked Ole Miss (minus thirty-one), twenty-eighth-ranked Southern California (minus twenty-seven), and thirty-ninth-ranked Mississippi State (minus twenty-six). The NCAA Championships are scheduled for May 29 through June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
