Grayson Kline has been appointed as the new tight ends coach for Furman University’s football program, according to an announcement by head coach Clay Hendrix.

Kline takes over the role previously held by Nick Verna, who has accepted a similar position at Towson State. Before joining Furman, Kline worked for two seasons in offensive quality control at Dartmouth.

He started his coaching career in 2023 at Long Island University, where he assisted with special teams and defensive quality control.

Kline played five years with Penn State’s football team, starting as a quarterback and later moving to the tight end position. He is originally from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Penn State in 2022.

“Grayson Kline has been named Furman’s new tight ends coach,” head coach Clay Hendrix announced.
