Furman University announced on Apr. 6 that its softball team will celebrate “Masters Weekend At The Park” during a doubleheader against the Presbyterian Blue Hose at Pepsi Stadium on Tuesday, with the first game scheduled for 4 p.m.

The event will feature Matt Davidson, head coach of Furman’s men’s golf team, who is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. In addition, fans attending the games will have an opportunity to participate in a Masters Weekend Putting Challenge. Admission to both games is free.

The Paladins enter Tuesday’s matchup with a record of 6-30 after earning their first Southern Conference win of the season by defeating UNC Greensboro 3-0 on Saturday. Freshman Kristyn Embler pitched a complete-game shutout in that victory.

Presbyterian comes into the series with an overall record of 14-24 and a conference mark of 3-6 after dropping two out of three games against Longwood over the weekend. Historically, Furman leads Presbyterian in their all-time series, holding a 23-13 advantage. Last season, both teams split their midweek doubleheader in Clinton, South Carolina.

Fans can watch Tuesday’s doubleheader live on ESPN+ or follow along with live statistics via StatBroadcast. Streaming and stats links are available on Furman’s official softball schedule page.
