The Furman softball team will host the USC Upstate Spartans for a doubleheader at Pepsi Stadium on March 17. The games are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., and admission is free. Fans can follow live statistics through StatBroadcast at FurmanPaladins.com.

This matchup comes after the Paladins, who hold a 4-21 record, last played on March 11 when they split a doubleheader against Bucknell at home. In that series, Furman secured a 5-4 win in the first game with Rachel Hawkins delivering a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning. However, Bucknell capitalized on six Paladin errors to take the second game with a 7-3 victory.

USC Upstate enters the contest with a season record of 16-10. The Spartans also split their most recent doubleheader, facing College of Charleston on March 11. Earlier this season, USC Upstate defeated Furman in both games of a February 25 doubleheader held in Spartanburg, winning by scores of 8-0 and 12-1.

Admission for Tuesday’s games is free, providing an opportunity for local fans to support their teams as conference play continues.
