Furman head volleyball coach Michelle Young announced on Mar. 10 the addition of three new student-athletes who will join the Paladins for the 2026 season.
The incoming players are Morgan Baldridge from North Carolina, Tiffany Helmer from South Carolina, and Olivia Peterson from Florida. These athletes are expected to add depth and compete for playing time as freshmen.
“We are happy to welcome these three exciting players,” said Young, who will be entering her 27th season in Greenville in 2026. “They will be a great addition to a veteran team. We look for them to add depth as well as compete to play as freshmen. They are wonderful young ladies and we are so happy to have them here at Furman.”
Baldridge is a setter who played at Brevard High School under coach Sammy Pressley, finishing her high school career with 3,000 assists and earning multiple honors including two-time all-conference selection and AAU All-American accolades. Helmer, a libero/defensive specialist from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Greenville, was part of three state championship teams and finished her career as the school’s all-time digs leader while also excelling in basketball. Peterson played at Cardinal Newman High School in Jupiter, Florida, where she recorded over 800 kills and contributed significantly on both indoor and beach volleyball teams.
The announcement highlights Furman’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its volleyball program by bringing in accomplished athletes with strong records at the high school level.
