The Furman women’s lacrosse team will play against top-seeded Mercer in the Big South Women’s Lacrosse Championship semifinals on Friday, April 30. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Five Star Stadium in Macon, Georgia.

Furman reached the semifinal after defeating Radford 15-5 in the first round at Paladin Stadium. The Paladins had a strong performance with advantages in shots, ground balls, caused turnovers, and draws. Lily Toole led all players with five points from four goals and one assist. Allie Kandel, Shae Insinga, and Reynolds Hester each finished with four points while Lily Mosser posted a career high of four points off the bench.
Mercer enters this weekend’s contest as regular season champions after going undefeated (8-0) in conference play and holding an overall record of 11-6 under head coach Samantha Eustace. Mercer currently leads Furman 8-7 in their all-time series history and won their previous meeting this season by a score of 13-6.
The winner between Furman and Mercer will move on to Sunday’s final against either High Point or Wofford at noon from Five Star Stadium.
