The Furman women’s tennis team, ranked 72nd nationally, will host Chattanooga on Friday at 11 a.m. for the Paladins’ final home match of the season at Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville.

This match is significant as it marks the last home appearance for Furman this season and could impact conference standings. Both teams have performed strongly so far this year.

Furman improved its record to 13-4 overall and remains undefeated in Southern Conference play at 5-0 after a decisive 7-0 victory over Wofford earlier this week. Freshmen Lillie Murphy and Elle Warren are currently ranked 38th nationally in doubles following their participation in the NCAA Doubles Championship last fall. Additionally, freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Murphy hold a national ranking of 60th in doubles after earning spring wins against Iowa and Austin Peay.

Chattanooga enters the match with a record of 14-3 overall and is 3-1 within the league after suffering a loss to ETSU by a score of 7-0 last Saturday. Historically, Furman leads the all-time series against Chattanooga, holding a record of 45 wins to nine losses. The Paladins won their previous meeting with Chattanooga by sweeping them, also with a score of 7-0 on the road last season.

Live scoring and video coverage for Friday’s match will be available through Furman’s official website.
