The Furman women’s tennis team will host Elon University on Saturday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville.

The match is notable as Furman enters with an 8-3 record and a five-match winning streak. The Paladins recently secured victories over Florida Gulf Coast and Toledo during their spring break trip, followed by home wins against Belmont and Virginia Tech. Freshmen Lillie Murphy and Elle Warren, who competed at the NCAA Doubles Championship in the fall, are currently ranked 34th nationally in doubles. Additionally, freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Murphy hold a national ranking of 63rd after earning spring wins over Iowa and Austin Peay.

Elon arrives with a 7-3 record but had its four-match winning streak ended by No. 66 South Alabama earlier this week. Furman leads the all-time series against Elon, holding a 17-3 advantage after defeating the Phoenix 4-1 last season. Since Elon’s departure from the Southern Conference to join the Colonial Athletic Association, Furman has won all four meetings between the teams.

Live scoring and statistics for Saturday’s match will be available on the Furman website.
