The Harness Health Pharmacy that opened in May as part of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System’s newest medical campus is now able to accept most prescription insurance plans. This makes it easier than ever for patients in Simpsonville to get the medications and vaccinations they need, often at a lower cost.

“We offer really good prices on over-the-counter medications that may not always be in stock at big box retailers, and we also have more access to ordering some of the more hard-to-find medications patients sometimes need,” explained Holly McInnis, the pharmacy supervisor.

Using this smaller community pharmacy can also translate into a more personalized experience.

“Sometimes when you go to a larger retailer, they’re so busy they don’t have time to think about helping you find savings on top of your basic insurance coverage. Our providers are often helping patients look for co-pay cards, manufacturer assistance and other programs that can lead to significant savings – even $0 co-pays,” said Ginger Schworm Berrie, director of retail pharmacy for Harness Health.

Fewer stocking issues and increased collaboration with many of the prescribing providers means patients getting the medications they need faster.

“We use the same health records system as Bon Secours, so if you’re seeing one of their providers and there’s a question about what was prescribed, it just takes a few clicks to get an answer. It’s a lot faster than having to call the doctor’s office then wait around on a call back,” McInnis explained.

The Harness Health Pharmacy in Simpsonville is located at 3970 Grandview Drive, Suite 1300 in Simpsonville, right along Interstate 385. It’s open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a short lunch break from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. It’s the second retail pharmacy Bon Secours has in the area, with the first being located inside the St. Francis Cancer Center on Innovation Drive in Greenville. Harness Health also offers home delivery for added convenience.
