Furman University sophomore Lily Toole was named the Big South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for games played from March 23 to March 29, according to an announcement on Mar. 31 by the league office.
The recognition highlights Toole’s performance as she led Furman in their conference-opening victories against Presbyterian and Radford. This is her eighth career weekly honor and first this season.
Toole, who is from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, contributed a total of 12 points during the week with eight goals—including one game-winner—and four assists. She also collected four ground balls and caused three turnovers over both games.
In Furman’s 15-7 win at Presbyterian, Toole scored three goals and made two assists while setting personal bests with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. She followed that with a season-high seven points in a 17-9 victory over Radford, matching her season high of five goals along with two assists.
As of this week, Toole leads the Big South Conference in points with 45. She ranks third in goals (32) and fifth in assists (13), while topping Furman’s roster for points and standing second on the team for both goals and assists.
