Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator representing South Carolina and former chair of the Senate Budget Committee, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account on May 6 and 7, 2026, addressing issues ranging from justice reform to community engagement in Horry County.

On May 6, Graham commented on the need for accountability in the justice system. He stated: “We owe it to Logan and the Federico family to ensure justice is fully applied in this case and to prevent similar situations from reoccurring in the future. Too often, rogue prosecutors and activist judges enable these kinds of tragedies by turning a blind eye to brutality or”.

Later that day, Graham shared his visit to a local veterans’ establishment: “It’s good to be at the Veteran Cafe & Museum here in Horry County. The heart of the Republican Party runs right through the Grand Strand. God bless our Veterans.”

On May 7, he reflected on attending a church service: “Wednesday night service at Journey Church was the perfect way to end the day. What a fun time in Myrtle Beach.”

Graham has served as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for over three decades and holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina (official website). Raised in Central, South Carolina in a blue-collar family, he has represented his state in the U.S. Senate while maintaining strong ties with local communities throughout his career.
