Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator from South Carolina, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account in November 2025 addressing Veterans Day, the reopening of the federal government, and a visit to Charleston.
On November 11, 2025, Graham recognized those who have served in the military by stating: “To all who have served our country in uniform, Happy Veterans Day.
As Americans, we enjoy a level of freedom and security unmatched across the world that is only possible because of those who have answered the call to serve. Our nation owes each of you a debt of gratitude.”
Two days later, on November 13, he commented on recent legislative developments regarding government operations and healthcare policy: “I am very pleased the House voted to reopen the federal government. The stage is now set for a long overdue debate on healthcare.
I will oppose the extension of Obamacare subsidies that are a windfall for insurance companies. President Obama promised that premiums would go down”. This statement references ongoing debates over federal funding and health insurance subsidies associated with the Affordable Care Act.
Later that same day, Graham expressed gratitude following an event in Charleston: “Thank you to my friends in Charleston for having me today at Henry’s on the Market!
Your support means the world, and I’m just getting started.”
Senator Lindsey Graham has been an active figure in national politics since first being elected to Congress in 1994 and subsequently to the Senate in 2003. He is known for his involvement in defense policy and his longstanding positions regarding healthcare reform.
