Senator Lindsey Graham has voiced support for former President Donald Trump and his administration’s approach to crime and foreign policy in a series of posts on September 10, 2025. The tweets address domestic criminal justice, Russian drone incursions into NATO airspace, and proposed sanctions legislation.
In a post from early morning, Graham stated: “President Trump is cracking down on criminals, failed soft-on-crime policies, and those who undermine our allies. I’m with @POTUS 100%. It’s time to fight back.” (September 10, 2025).
Later that day, Graham commented on recent reports of Russian drones entering Polish airspace. He wrote: “Russian drones entering NATO airspace in Poland is beyond unacceptable. I have been working closely with the Trump Administration on the Russia sanctions and tariff bill that would provide wide authority to President @realDonaldTrump to impose sanctions and tariffs on countries” (September 10, 2025).
Graham continued his response to the incident with another post: “I completely agree with President @realDonaldTrump’s sentiment in response to Russia’s insane violation of Polish airspace for hours, deploying multiple drones. Mr. President, Congress is with you. We stand ready to pass legislation authorizing bone crushing new sanctions and” (September 10, 2025).
The remarks follow heightened tensions between Russia and NATO members after multiple drone incursions into Polish territory were reported by defense officials earlier this week. Poland is a member of NATO, which obligates member states to collective defense under Article 5 if an armed attack occurs against one or more members.
Graham’s reference to collaboration with the Trump administration comes as lawmakers debate additional measures aimed at deterring Russian military activity near NATO borders.
