Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator from South Carolina, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing issues ranging from the anniversary of the Kabul bombing to incidents involving South Carolina guardsmen and international business decisions.

On August 26, 2025, Graham marked the fourth anniversary of the Kabul airport bombing by stating: “It has been four years since one of the sadder days in our nation’s history, when 13 American heroes lost their lives in the Kabul bombing. This tragedy should never have happened, and we continue to mourn alongside the families who grieve their loved ones. I stand with https://t.co/b7UQg354eD”.

The following day, August 27, Graham commented on an incident involving members of the South Carolina National Guard. He wrote: “I fully expect that the law will come to the aid of those who are attacked while risking their lives to defend America. To the South Carolina guardsmen involved, you represent the best of us. To the guy who spat at them, you’re an asshole and I hope you go to jail.”

Later on August 27, Graham addressed Norway’s sovereign wealth fund regarding its decision related to Caterpillar Inc., an American manufacturer whose equipment is used by Israel. In his post he stated: “To Norway’s sovereign wealth fund –which is the largest in the world: Your decision to punish Caterpillar, an American company, because Israel uses their product is beyond offensive. Your BS decision will not go unanswered.”

Senator Lindsey Graham has served as a prominent voice on foreign policy and national security matters in Congress for several decades.
