Senator Lindsey Graham has recently addressed several high-profile international and domestic issues in a series of posts on his social media account.
On July 31, 2025, Graham commented on differing international responses to the ongoing conflict involving Hamas and Israel. He wrote, “I find it odd that Arab leaders are calling for Hamas to disarm and accept safe passage out of Gaza while European leaders are threatening to recognize a Palestinian state if Israel doesn’t accept a ceasefire. To our friends in Europe, you’re enticing Hamas to stay in the fight.”
Hours later, on August 1, 2025, Graham shifted focus to U.S. political controversies surrounding former President Donald Trump and the Steele Dossier. He stated, “The Steele Dossier was BS and it was used as a basis to try and destroy @realDonaldTrump. This latest declassification underscores the lengths Democrats went to weaponize the federal government for political gain.”
In a follow-up post that same day, Graham continued criticism of media organizations involved in reporting about the dossier: “We’re not going to let this go. And we can start by having the New York Times and the Washington Post give their Pulitzer Prize back.”
Lindsey Graham is a U.S. Senator from South Carolina known for his outspoken views on foreign policy and national politics. The debate over recognition of Palestinian statehood has been an ongoing issue within both European governments and among Middle Eastern leaders. Meanwhile, controversy around the Steele Dossier and its use by media outlets and government officials has remained a divisive topic since its publication during investigations into Russian interference in U.S. elections.
