Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator representing South Carolina and former chair of the Senate Budget Committee, posted a series of tweets on May 28, 2026, expressing gratitude for endorsements and support during his travels across the state.
In a tweet published at 19:51 UTC, Graham wrote: “If there’s anybody you want on your team in South Carolina, it’s President @realDonaldTrump and @RussellFrySC. As of today, I’m honored to have both of their endorsements. A special thanks to my friends in Conway for your enthusiasm and support.”
Later that evening at 20:23 UTC, Graham commented on Middle East diplomacy efforts involving former President Donald Trump: “If President Trump can get the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to recognize the Jewish state of Israel, then he will have effectively ended the Arab-Israeli conflict. If President Trump does that, they should change the name of the Nobel Prize to the Trump Prize.”
At 23:05 UTC on the same day, Graham acknowledged local supporters with another message: “Thanks to Florence County Republicans for making our second day on the road so much fun. Your support means the world.”
Graham has longstanding ties to South Carolina; he grew up in Central in a blue-collar family and later earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina (https://www.lgraham.senate.gov/). He served as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for 33 years and continues to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate.
