Senator Lindsey Graham commented on several international and domestic issues in a series of posts on September 19, 2025. Graham addressed U.S. policy toward China, recent actions by Russia, and praised law enforcement for a successful drug bust.

In his first post at 20:04 UTC, Graham called for action against China in response to its purchases of Russian oil: “Well done, Mr. President. To our European allies: this is a significant step in the right direction. It is now time for the United States to hit China with sanctions and tariffs for buying cheap Russian oil, fueling Putin’s war machine.”

Later that evening at 20:29 UTC, Graham commented on an incident involving Russian military activity near Estonia and welcomed recent measures from the European Union: “Russia’s incursion into Estonian air space – a NATO member – today is yet another example of a provocative Putin who remains defiant. I appreciate the EU’s new round of sanctions against Russia and Chinese oil infrastructure. President Trump’s 25% tariff on India for buying”

At 20:39 UTC, Graham shifted focus to domestic matters by commending law enforcement efforts: “Well done to all law enforcement personnel and agencies involved in this major drug bust. This is an example of how collaboration between neighboring law enforcement agencies and state and federal officials pay dividends when it comes to getting these drugs off the streets of”

Graham has frequently voiced support for stronger sanctions against countries engaged in trade with Russia amid ongoing tensions following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The United States and its allies have imposed multiple rounds of economic penalties targeting Moscow as well as entities supporting its energy sector.

Additionally, airspace violations involving NATO members have heightened concerns about regional security in Eastern Europe. Incidents like those referenced by Graham are often viewed as tests of alliance unity.

On domestic issues, cooperation among local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies has been emphasized as key to tackling organized crime and drug trafficking operations within the United States.
