Senator Lindsey Graham, a senior Republican from South Carolina, has recently made several public statements on his social media account addressing issues related to military conduct, the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, and U.S. defense modernization.
On November 20, 2025, Graham expressed concern about a video released by six Democratic Members of Congress with backgrounds in the military or intelligence community. He wrote, “Six Democrat Members of Congress — all with military or intelligence backgrounds — recently released a video urging members of the U.S. military and Intelligence Community to ‘refuse illegal orders.’ To say that I am disturbed this video is an understatement. As a former Air” (November 20, 2025).
Later that day, Graham addressed speculation surrounding a purported plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war. In his post he stated, “As to the existence of a 28 point plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war, I have no knowledge of the plan and have only read media reports about the proposal. It is my firm belief that this war needs to come to an end through negotiations with an honorable and just outcome that” (November 20, 2025).
In another post published on November 20, Graham discussed his recent meeting with Deputy Secretary of War Steve Feinberg. He said they talked about efforts toward defense modernization: “Just had a great meeting with Deputy Secretary of War Steve Feinberg about creating the most modern lethal military in the history of the world. We discussed changing the procurement structure to get things done on time and on budget. Most importantly, we talked about making” (November 20, 2025).
