Pyramid Contracting announced on Mar. 31 a significant change in its leadership, promoting David E. Stewart to Chief Executive Officer and Berry Ponder to Chief Operating Officer.

The company said the transition marks an important step for its continued growth and stability, highlighting the experience of both leaders within the organization.

Founder and Owner Bobby Alexander said, “This was the right people at the right time. Dave’s promotion to CEO is a natural progression. Over the last decade, he has consistently served as a leader for our organization, and this step reflects the role he has already been playing.”

Stewart has contributed to Pyramid’s expansion by strengthening operations, culture, and client relationships across South Carolina and throughout the Southeast. In his new position as CEO, Stewart will focus on upholding values such as quality, trust, and accountability that have shaped Pyramid’s reputation.

Berry Ponder steps into his new role after serving as General Manager of Pyramid’s Upstate office where he developed both regional operations and team capacity. Alexander also said, “Berry’s promotion is equally well deserved. He has built a strong team in the Upstate and brings both experience and the ability to inspire others.”

The company stated that these leadership changes support its ongoing commitment to building strong teams together with excellence for long-term growth.
