U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, and Ron Johnson, along with 15 other colleagues, have sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. The letter requests information about the Biden administration’s collection of call logs from sitting Members of Congress.

The request comes after an October 6, 2025 briefing in which FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino told several senators that, during Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case against former President Trump—referred to as Arctic Frost—the FBI collected and analyzed call logs from at least nine Members of Congress between January 4 and January 7, 2021. During the briefing, Deputy Director Bongino provided a document listing the elected officials whose records were targeted.

“The Biden administration’s blatant weaponization of the federal government should shock every American,” the Members wrote.

The letter asks the Department of Justice and FBI to provide all records related to the collection and analysis of these call logs. It also requests any communications between DOJ or FBI personnel and the Biden White House regarding this matter. If grand jury secrecy rules apply to these materials, the Members asked that DOJ seek judicial authorization for their release.

“Given that these materials relate to an unprecedented collection of records and information on sitting MOCs and raise serious constitutional concerns, Congress’ need for these records clearly outweighs any interest in secrecy,” the Members noted.

The letter was signed by all Members of Congress reportedly targeted in Arctic Frost: Senators Graham, Johnson, Marsha Blackburn, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Cynthia Lummis, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, and Representative Mike Kelly. Additional signatories include Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Grassley and Judiciary Committee members Senators John Cornyn, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Thom Tillis, John Kennedy, Eric Schmitt, Katie Britt, and Ashley Moody.

More details about the letter are available in the New York Post. The full text of the letter can be found HERE.
