Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Academy of Hair Technology

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Academy of Hair Technology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $14,000 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 88 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 6 students received grants or scholarships totaling $30,285 and 7 students took out student loans totaling more than $40,833.

Including all undergraduates (77), 58 students used grants or scholarships totaling $210,871, and 58 students took out $281,485 in federal student loans.
