Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on October 28.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Stokes & Company CPA’s, a local firm specializing in monthly accounting and payroll services for business clients, as well as individual and business tax planning and preparation, has added four new members to their growing team and announced two new promotions within. They will play supportive roles to the company’s expanding client portfolio and excellent growth in the Greenville office.

Rex A. Hamlett joins Stokes & Company with 16 years of experience in both private sector and public accounting. His experience runs deep from a focus on infrastructure development, construction and facilities management, to business and personal taxation and cost segregation studies. Rex is a very well-rounded team member that brings an incredible passion for accounting, which makes him an excellent fit as Accounting and Tax Manager. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Alaska, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Nevada, and is working to obtain his CPA certification by reciprocity for South Carolina by the end of this year. 

Kyle C. Morris, CPA joins the Stokes team as a Senior Accountant, with a BA of Science in Accounting from Bob Jones University. With over four years of experience in public accounting, his expertise ranges from the advisory services in the medical field to accounting for the automotive manufacturing industry.

Stephanie Sonne joins Stokes & Company as an Accountant, with a B.A. from The University of the South - Sewanee, TN. She has over six years of corporate & non-profit accounting and tax preparation experience, and is bilingual in Spanish.

Sandy Lamb graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting from Greenville Technical College and most recently worked as an accountant in a local medical practice. She joins the Stokes’ team as an Accountant.

Stokes & Company has also promoted two employees, Amy Dowden and Julie Freeman to Senior Accountants for the firm. They both have shown outstanding dedication, excellent client service, and a steadfast team approach that exemplifies Stokes’ core values through and through.
