Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina's 4th District since 2019, has recently taken to social media to share his thoughts on a variety of issues. With a background in law and politics, having previously served in the South Carolina Senate and holding degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina, Timmons provides insights into both domestic and international affairs.

On February 1, 2025, Congressman Timmons highlighted the return of Keith Siegel after being held hostage by Hamas terrorists for 484 days. He expressed gratitude towards President Biden for efforts made in securing Siegel’s freedom. "Keith Siegel was held hostage by Hamas terrorists for 484 days. Today, he returned home. Thank you @POTUS for working diligently to secure his freedom."

On February 3, 2025, Timmons voiced support for Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's initiative calling for NPR and PBS CEOs to testify before the GOP Oversight Committee's DOGE subcommittee. He emphasized the need for transparency regarding perceived bias in taxpayer-funded media outlets. "I fully support @RepMTG’s call for the CEO’s of NPR and PBS to testify before the @GOPoversight DOGE subcommittee. Taxpayer-funded media must answer for their bias and lack of accountability. The American people deserve transparency!"

Later that day, Timmons commented on actions taken by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) just prior to Director Chopra's resignation. He raised concerns about electronic notices sent out as CIDs (Civil Investigative Demands), which are akin to subpoenas requiring public disclosure that could impact business valuations adversely. "On Friday, after business hours and hours before Director Chopra resigned, the CFPB furiously prepared electronic notices of CIDs for businesses across the country."
