Three Furman athletes to compete at Duke Twilight on Sunday

Three members of the Furman track and field teams are scheduled to compete in the Duke Twilight meet at Morris Williams Stadium in Durham, North Carolina, according to a May 2 announcement.

The event serves as the final opportunity for these athletes to prepare ahead of the upcoming Southern Conference Championship. The meet is seen as an important step for those looking to improve their performance before the championship next week.

Sophomore Claire Cook will participate in the women’s 800-meter race at 6 p.m., while sophomore Nysa Males is set to run in the women’s 1,500-meter event at 7:45 p.m. On the men’s side, junior Brayden Seymour will take part in the men’s 1,500-meter race at 8:25 p.m. Live results will be available on www.furmanpaladins.com and select events will be broadcast live on ACCNX.

This competition marks a key moment for Furman’s track and field athletes as they finalize preparations for one of their most significant meets of the season. The Southern Conference Championship is scheduled for May 11-12 in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
