Congressman William Timmons has been actively engaging with his audience on social media, as demonstrated by a series of tweets posted on May 1, 2025. Timmons, who represents South Carolina’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, expressed his views on international funding, military service, and a forthcoming diplomatic appointment.
On May 1, Timmons highlighted a significant policy initiative by former President Trump. He referenced the establishment of the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund, emphasizing its multifaceted goals. The fund aims to “secure critical minerals, boost U.S. energy & tech dominance, and ensure taxpayer ROI while aiding Ukraine’s recovery.” Timmons described the fund as “a strategic move in the global trade war.”
Later that day, Timmons, who holds the title of Captain in the U.S. Air Force and serves as Chairman of Military and Foreign Affairs, took a moment to recognize the commencement of Military Appreciation Month. In his post, he expressed gratitude towards military personnel, stating, “Serving alongside our dedicated troops and advocating for our veterans is a profound honor.”
Timmons also shared his enthusiasm for the nomination of Michael Waltz as the next U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Praising Waltz’s career path, from military service to political roles, Timmons stated, “There is nobody more qualified for this role.”
William Timmons, a long-standing figure in politics, initially entered the U.S. Congress in 2019, succeeding Trey Gowdy. His professional journey includes previous service in the South Carolina Senate, and educational accomplishments from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.
