Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina’s 4th district since 2019, has been active on social media, addressing various issues. Timmons, who succeeded Trey Gowdy and previously served in the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018, shared his views on recent legislative actions and national concerns through a series of tweets.

On May 22, 2025, Timmons expressed his support for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act by stating “I proudly voted YES on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, advancing President Trump’s America First Agenda. This historic legislation permanently cuts taxes for South Carolina’s hardworking families, strengthens border security, restores fiscal responsibility.”

Later that day, he addressed a tragic event involving Israeli embassy staff in Washington D.C., posting “Heartbroken over the killing of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, Israeli embassy staff who were murdered in a horrific attack here in DC last night. Let me make it clear, antisemitic violence has NO place in the United States.” He urged people to join him in praying for their families.

In another tweet posted on May 22nd, Timmons highlighted alarming health statistics shared by President Biden regarding American children. He noted ” MUST WATCH: @POTUS highlights the alarming findings of the MAHA Commission on childhood health. More than 40% of American children have chronic conditions, cancer rates have soared, and autism is now 1 in 31.”

William Timmons was born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1984 and currently resides there. He graduated from George Washington University with a BA and earned a JD from the University of South Carolina.
