Congressman William Timmons, who represents South Carolina’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to comment on law enforcement efforts and national policy, as well as express support for former President Donald Trump.

On August 14, 2025, Timmons posted: “I am proud to welcome @AGPamBondi to South Carolina alongside @AGAlanWilson, @BryanStirling, @RepJoeWilson, @RepSheriBiggs & @RepRussellFry for a law enforcement summit. From restoring the rule of law in DC, to securing our border, to helping the homeless—we are carrying out https://t.co/TTmqwMGhMp”.

Later that day, he criticized Washington D.C.’s leadership and called for federal intervention if local officials fail to address issues: “America’s capital should be a shining example of safety, cleanliness, and pride. Instead, Mayor Bowser and the radical left D.C. Council have turned it into a disgrace. If they won’t do their jobs, the federal government must.

I am proud to stand with President Trump to clean https://t.co/iGYjn7lGZ2” (August 14, 2025).

On August 15, 2025, Timmons reiterated his support for former President Trump’s approach both domestically and internationally by stating: “Strength at home, respect abroad.

President Trump delivered both. https://t.co/E7YR3HoV2o“.

William Timmons has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Trey Gowdy and previously held office in the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and currently residing there at age 38, Timmons holds degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.
