Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina’s 4th district since 2019, has been vocal on various political issues through his social media presence. He has shared his views on government spending, criticized the current administration, and expressed support for legislative actions aimed at reducing federal agencies.

On February 7, 2025, Timmons addressed the issue of government spending. He stated that “Government waste has burned a $2.7 trillion dollar hole in American taxpayers pockets.” Timmons urged for a collective effort to promote government efficiency and invited people to join this cause at an event organized by the DOGE Committee.

On February 8, 2025, Timmons critiqued President Joe Biden’s administration. He asserted that “For four years, Joe Biden and his team of handlers ran our great country into the ground.” He further accused Biden of negligence regarding classified information management.

In another post on February 8, 2025, Timmons announced his support for a bill aimed at abolishing the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He expressed his stance by stating “I am proud to co-sponsor @RepMTG’s bill to abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).” According to him, USAID is responsible for excessive spending aligned with what he describes as “the Democrats’ woke agenda.”
