On May 1, 2025, Congressman Timmons welcomed the Vice President to South Carolina, remarking on the significance of this visit to Nucor Steel Berkeley, stating, “Welcome to South Carolina, @VP! Your visit to Nucor Steel Berkeley highlights SC’s vital role in America’s manufacturing resurgence. We’re honored to showcase our state’s strength & support the Trump Admin’s America First vision! “

The following day, May 2, Timmons highlighted recent activities in Washington, D.C., through a recap titled “Friday 5”. Among this week’s accomplishments, he mentioned a Tele town hall that engaged over 10,000 constituents, noting, “It’s Friday 5! Here are some highlights from my week here in D.C.— 1.) First 100 Days Tele town hall: We connected with over 10,000 constituents and took questions live. It was a great success and I appreciate everyone who participated. Looking forward to the next one!”

Also on May 2, Timmons shared his stance on several legislative measures in the House of Representatives. He commented on the use of the Congressional Review Act to overturn certain Biden-era regulations, describing the intended outcomes, “This week, the House voted on H.J.Res.60, 78, 87, 88, and 89. These Congressional Review Act resolutions will reverse Biden-era regulations that have increased costs, made America less competitive, and limited Americans’ freedoms. 15 down and we are just getting started! “

William Timmons, born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1984 and currently residing there, brings his educational background from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina to his congressional role.
