Later that day, he commented on a recent policy change by USA Fencing with the following statement: “VICTORY: USA Fencing just banned men from women’s sports. Stephanie Turner’s courageous May 2025 @DOGECommittee testimony, where she described competing against a biological male, helped spark this change. Pressure works. Truth wins. William Timmons has represented South Carolina’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Trey Gowdy in 2019 and previously served in the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and currently residing there, Timmons holds degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.
