Later that day, Timmons commented on recent economic policy changes and their impact on American households and businesses. William Timmons has represented South Carolina’s 4th District since 2019 after succeeding Trey Gowdy. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and currently residing there at age 38, Timmons holds a BA from George Washington University and a JD from the University of South Carolina.
