Congressman William Timmons, who represents South Carolina’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media regarding recent developments in the Middle East and U.S. domestic policy.

On October 8, 2025, Timmons highlighted what he described as a significant development in Middle Eastern diplomacy. He wrote, “Today marks an extraordinary milestone toward lasting peace in the Middle East. Under President Trump’s leadership, Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a peace plan that will bring all hostages home and begin the path toward stability and security for the region.” In a subsequent post on the same day, Timmons referred to former President Donald Trump as “THE PEACE PRESIDENT @realDonaldTrump “.

The following day, October 9, 2025, Timmons addressed domestic priorities with another statement: “It’s time to put our TROOPS and AMERICA FIRST, not illegals.”

William Timmons has represented South Carolina’s 4th District in Congress since 2019, succeeding Trey Gowdy. Prior to his tenure in the House of Representatives, Timmons served in the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1984, Timmons holds degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.
