Congressman William Timmons, who represents South Carolina’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on his social media account this week regarding recent developments relevant to his constituents.
On November 13, 2025, Timmons wrote: “WE ARE OPEN! https://t.co/i8coqFnsPE”.
Two days later, on November 15, 2025, he addressed a policy change affecting trade tariffs: “President Trump’s removal of coffee tariffs is a big win for SC-04! Two-thirds of Americans rely on coffee every day. Lowering these trade barriers means real cost-of-living relief for families, restaurants, and small businesses across the Upstate. Thank you, @realDonaldTrump! https://t.co/hMQvHHsP1V”.
In a subsequent post on the same day, Timmons provided further documentation related to his statement: “A copy of the letter can be found here: https://t.co/oCQG88W2t4”.
William Timmons has served as the representative for South Carolina’s 4th District since 2019 after succeeding Trey Gowdy. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the South Carolina Senate from 2016 to 2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and currently residing there at age 38, Timmons holds degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.
