On May 13, 2025, Congressman Timmons expressed his support for the Fiscal Commission Act by announcing his co-sponsorship alongside Representatives Bill Huizenga and Scott Peters. In his post, he stated: “Proud to co-sponsor the Fiscal Commission Act (H.R. 3289) with @RepHuizenga & @RepScottPeters. This bipartisan bill tackles our national debt crisis head-on, ensuring a fiscally responsible future.”
Later that day, Timmons acknowledged local high school seniors in his district through the Exceptional Senior Award. He posted about honoring students from twenty-five schools for their achievements in public service, academics, and leadership: “Thrilled to honor outstanding seniors from 25 #SC04 high schools with the Exceptional Senior Award! Selected by their schools for excellence in public service, academics, and leadership.”
In another update on May 13, Timmons highlighted the mandate given to House Republicans by American voters. William Timmons has served in Congress since replacing Trey Gowdy in 2019. Prior to this role, he was a member of the South Carolina Senate from 2016-2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and educated at George Washington University and the University of South Carolina School of Law, he continues to reside in Greenville.
