Later that day, Timmons acknowledged local high school seniors in his district through the Exceptional Senior Award. William Timmons has served in Congress since replacing Trey Gowdy in 2019. Prior to this role, he was a member of the South Carolina Senate from 2016-2018. Born in Greenville in 1984 and educated at George Washington University and the University of South Carolina School of Law, he continues to reside in Greenville.
