On May 9, 2025, Congressman Timmons posted a tweet that sparked conversation: “Well that’s one way to grow the majority. Can’t vote from prison!” This statement alludes to voting rights and the implications of incarceration on electoral participation.

Two days later, on May 11, 2025, Timmons extended a heartfelt message for Mother’s Day. He tweeted: “Happy Mother’s Day, South Carolina! Today we celebrate my amazing mom and all the moms out there doing the hardest job with love, patience, and zero days off. William Timmons was born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1984 and currently resides there. He holds a BA from George Washington University and a JD from the University of South Carolina.
