Cost of college went up for all students at Bob Jones University

Tuition and fees rose 10 percent for 2018-19 at Bob Jones University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

South Carolina students paid $18,150 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,650 more than the $16,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 575 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.5 million and 194 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,005), 2,167 students used grants or scholarships totaling $21.7 million, and 827 students took out $4.8 million in federal student loans.
