Greenville Technical College’s Marketing and Communications department took home four National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) awards recently, celebrating the college’s successful media campaigns.

In a recent release, Greenville Technical College said the awards were presented at the NCMPR Medallion Awards Ceremony held at the District 2 Fall Conference in Savannah, Georgia Nov. 7.

“What I am most proud about is the diversity represented in the materials awarded," Greenville Tech Director of Marketing and Communications Joshua Friesen said in the release. "They showcase the depth and breadth of Greenville Technical College through a broad span of student demographics, staff, faculty and programs offered while representing efforts across a variety of marketing platforms.”

Among its awards, the college was awarded with one gold, one silver and two bronzes across four categories. These focused on recognizing excellence in design and communication at community and technical colleges on the district level, the release states.

According to the release, Greenville Tech took home the gold in the category of best TV/Video Paid Advertisement for its “Your Future Starts Today” advertisement; the silver in the Communication Success Story category for its Truist Culinary and Hospitality Innovation Center; and the bronze in the radio advertisement and successful Diversity & Inclusion Marketing Campaign categories for its “High Demand Careers” and flyer/print campaigns.

As a member of District 2, Greenville Tech joins 11 southeastern states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia as well as Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas, the release states. The four NCMPR honors come alongside 16 Medallion awards the college has been awarded at the regional competition in the last four years, including a gold Paragon award in the 2019 competition.
