The Clemson Tigers were slow at the start, but overcame a 9-0 deficit to hold off NC State 70-65 in an Atlantic Coast Conference road game recently.
Sophomore P.J. Hall was crucial in the win, sinking a career-high 10 shots in his 20-point effort. It was the fourth time he has hit that mark this season and was the 14th straight time he has hit double figures in scoring, according to the Clemson Tigers' website.
It was the first time the Tigers have won in Raleigh, North Carolina since the 2014-15 season.
“This has always been a difficult place to come and play," Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney said in the postgame news conference. “But our guys were locked in and just really ready to play.”
Hall ended with five rebounds and a career-high four blocked shots to go along with his 20 points.
The other offensive boost came from Al-Amir Dawes, who ended with 16 points, five boards, three steals and two assists.
The Tigers (10-5 overall, 2-2 ACC) will play Notre Dame next.
