Hanover County hosted a “Spirit of Volunteerism” awards ceremony that acknowledged businesses and individuals for their community participation. This year, Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center was awarded the “Commitment to Community Award.”
The award honors a Hanover County business that demonstrates a well-rounded approach to community values, in addition to a strong commitment to supporting the community. Memorial Regional Medical Center was recognized not only for their unique service during the pandemic, but also for their partnership with Hanover County Community Services Board and the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office for the Hanover Crisis Intervention Center.
Through partnerships, the Hanover Crisis Intervention Center opened its doors in 2014. The facility offers a resource for Hanover County deputies responding to situations involving an individual in a mental health crisis. The partnership enables these individuals to receive services with greater efficiency and dignity in a safe and centralized location.
Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center has been dedicated to improving the overall health and well-being of community members by providing care to patients with mental health needs.
