William Timmons discusses fiscal issues and international incidents in recent tweets

Congressman William Timmons, who represents South Carolina's 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared his views on several national issues through a series of tweets. The congressman addressed concerns ranging from fiscal policy to international incidents involving American citizens.

On December 2, 2024, Congressman Timmons reflected on spending the first Monday of December with "First Monday in Greenville." He noted that despite the holiday cheer, discussions were focused on "our nation’s looming fiscal crisis" and "out-of-control national debt." "It’s the first Monday of December, so of course I wanted to spend it with First Monday in Greenville. And although there was plenty of holiday cheer this afternoon, we talked about something not so cheerful—our nation’s looming fiscal crisis. Our out-of-control national debt and…"

Later that day, Timmons recalled an incident during a September committee hearing where he predicted that President Joe Biden would pardon Hunter Biden. He stated that Democrats had a strong reaction at the time but are now silent following recent developments. "When I predicted Joe Biden would pardon Hunter during a September 19 committee hearing, Democrats had a complete MELTDOWN. Everyone who said it wouldn’t happen is silent now…"

On December 3, 2024, Congressman Timmons tweeted about Omer Neutra, a U.S citizen who lost his life at the hands of Hamas on October 7th, 2023. He highlighted that Neutra's remains have been held captive for over a year and stressed that American citizens should always be prioritized by the nation. "The IDF has confirmed that Omer Neutra, a U.S citizen, tragically lost his life at the hands of Hamas on October 7th 2023. His remains have now been held captive in Gaza for 423 days. American citizens should ALWAYS be our nation's top priority."
