Representative William Timmons has been appointed as the chairman of the Military and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for the 119th Congress. This announcement was made by Chairman James Comer, who praised Timmons' effectiveness on the Oversight Committee.

“Representative William Timmons is an effective member of the Oversight Committee and I am excited to announce him as the next chairman of the Military and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee," said Comer. "In this role, he will lead our oversight of the national security apparatus and work with the Trump Administration to end the worst border crisis in history created by the Biden Administration. I look forward to working with Representative Timmons as we strive to make the federal government more efficient, effective, transparent, and accountable to the American people.”

Timmons expressed his commitment to national security in a statement following his selection. He emphasized his dedication to strengthening America's position globally while supporting armed forces and addressing emerging threats.

Apart from his new leadership role, Congressman Timmons continues his service on other committees including assignments on various subcommittees within Financial Services.
