Today, Congressman William Timmons announced a change in his office's leadership. Heather Smith has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff following the departure of Tim Cummings, who will take on a new position within the Trump administration.

Congressman Timmons expressed his gratitude for Cummings' service, stating, “Tim has been an invaluable leader and trusted advisor during his time here. His dedication and expertise have played a critical role in advancing our mission, and I am confident he will bring the same excellence to his new role in President Trump’s administration."

Smith, who has been part of the congressman's staff since March 2020, will assume her new duties following her tenure as Deputy Chief of Staff. Her extensive experience and knowledge of South Carolina’s Fourth District were notable in her selection for the role.
