Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina's 4th district, has been actively sharing his thoughts and updates on recent political developments through social media. A member of the U.S. Congress since 2019, Timmons replaced Trey Gowdy and has a background in law with degrees from George Washington University and the University of South Carolina.

On January 28, 2025, Congressman Timmons congratulated Scott Bessent on his appointment as Treasury Secretary. He expressed optimism about Bessent's role in addressing economic challenges, stating: "Congratulations to South Carolina’s own Scott Bessent, our new Treasury Secretary! With Secretary Bessent at the helm, we will lower inflation for hardworking American families, impose sanctions and make them count, and get our economy back on track."

The following day, January 29, 2025, Timmons shared a quote from Robert Kennedy Jr., highlighting concerns about the U.S. healthcare system. He tweeted: “The U.S. has worse health than any developed nation, and yet we spend more than anyone else. We can’t be a strong nation when our people are so sick” -@RobertKennedyJr. Timmons emphasized Kennedy's commitment to collaborating with Congress and former President Donald Trump to improve national health standards.

Later that day, he announced President Trump's impending signing of The Laken Riley Act. His tweet read: "President Trump on his way to sign the first legislation of his second term, The Laken Riley Act."
