Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina's 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently made public statements through a series of tweets addressing significant issues. Timmons, who succeeded Trey Gowdy in 2019 and previously served in the South Carolina Senate, has taken a firm stance on Second Amendment rights and Medicaid funding for healthcare providers.

On February 8, 2025, Congressman Timmons tweeted "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED ", indicating his support for the Second Amendment.

Three days later, on February 11, 2025, he announced that he and 76 Congressional colleagues had filed an amicus brief in the case of Medina v. Planned Parenthood. In his tweet "Yesterday, 76 of my Congressional colleagues and I filed an amicus brief in Medina v. Planned Parenthood. States should have the authority to decide which providers are eligible to receive Medicaid funds." He emphasized that states should have the power to determine which healthcare providers can receive Medicaid funds.

Following this announcement on February 11, 2025, Timmons shared a link to a press release for further details: "Read the full press release here: https://t.co/VnvR6ZK1DN".
