Congressman William Timmons, representing South Carolina's 4th district since 2019, shared his recent legislative activities through a series of tweets. Timmons, who succeeded Trey Gowdy in Congress and has previously served in the South Carolina Senate, highlighted his votes on significant bills aimed at reversing certain policies and enhancing law enforcement capabilities.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Timmons announced his affirmative vote on H.R. 77 via Twitter. He stated: "I just voted YES on H.R. 77, the Midnight Rules Relief Act. This bill allows Congress to act quickly on reversing Biden’s damaging last-minute policies. As promised, @HouseGOP is passing legislation to help undo burdensome regulations and get the economy back on track! ".

The following day, February 13, 2025, he tweeted about his support for another piece of legislation: "I proudly voted to pass H.R. 35, the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act. H.R. 35 will: •Give law enforcement the necessary tools to fully penalize criminals who intentionally fail to yield to Border Patrol agents and law enforcement officials." The tweet further mentions the bill's implications on immigration but leaves it incomplete.

Later that day, Congressman Timmons shared a brief tweet without much context: "Unburdened by what has been". The meaning behind this statement remains unclear as no additional information was provided.
